We have chosen Sky City Hotel as the venue for the 8th Australasian Scientific Glassblowing Symposium. Located in central Auckland it is only a short walk from the waterfront and Viaduct harbour.

The Symposium itself will be conducted mainly at the Sky City Conference Center attached tothe hotel by airbridge.

We have made a booking for a number of rooms for which we have negotiated a very reasonable tariff. The rooms are deluxe single or twin and the tariff is NZ$185.00 plus GST per night.

Programme Content

Technical Papers

Abstract:
Scientific glassblowers have the opportunity to be assessed to a Certificate Three, Four, Diploma or Advanced Diploma  in the Laboratory Operations Training Package PMLO4.
This paper  highlights the necessary procedure to achieve these outcomes.

Outside Visits

Further Papers and Presentations can still be considered, as the above Content will be worked into a Timetable over the next couple of months.

We would encourage all our members who have been involved in a unique or interesting project over the last couple of years to consider submitting their work as a technical paper or workshop.
